Emily Percy Gowns is a consultative design dressmaker in Remuera, Auckland. I make beautiful gowns from your ideas and my experience, to create the perfect look for you.

My aim is to make every one look taller and thinner, and if you are already tall and thin, then I will make you look curvy and perfectly proportioned.

Sewing for over twenty years, I have created a specialised niche, making bridal and ball gowns, that suits my talents ideally.

Each gown is made in calico first, so you can see exactly how the style works on your body, and I cut and draw directly onto the calico fitting so you can visualise the finished fabric dress.Even for the most unimaginative and unsure, this process clearly shows what suits, and what really doesn't work for you.

This calico becomes the pattern for the dress, and the next stage is to make the inside fit perfectly, then to make it up in the fabric. Finally it is finished to perfection. And I am a perfectionist, so I really encourage you to be as picky as possible.

It helps if you bring the bra and shoes you will wear to every fitting, or at least a good stand-in.
